The Bacillus's blog
Salford City Radio interviewed us this week about our upcoming album, influences and our charity gig at Gullivers on Oldham Street on the 23rd of March as part of their Indie Rocks show hosted by Paul Holmes. For those of you who missed it you can catch it again here.
We're half way through the set :)
We had a great evening performing at the Roadhouse recently. It was especially welcome to see some old fans who we haven't seen for a long while who thoroughly enjoyed the show and took some remarkable photos and video content which can be seen below. Also here is the recorded performance kindly recorded by the sound engineer.
We look forward to seeing you all at the charity gig at Gulivers this Saturday!
Following on from the recent album launch of I Can't Adapt to this Prison you call Society the Bacillus are back in the studio working on the follow up album which is yet to be named. There are several work in progress tracks written by Aidan Cross which are coming together nicely with the addition of synthersiser provided by new band member Graham Brown who is also providing piano and synth parts for the first album tracks on upcoming live sets.
*cue drum roll and fanfare*...
Our debut album has finally been released and is available to download! Thanks to all who have supported us during our time together. Now feel free to download, review and help us gain our place in Rock 'n' Roll history!
Many thanks to everyone who came to see our album launch gig at Space on Friday! You were one of our best audiences ever and we had a top night... we feel particularly honored to have seen people who'd never known about us before leaving at the end of the night wearing Bacillus T-shirts!
Thanks to Tuesday Tony for putting us on, and Linda for the awesome Bacillus cake! Stay tuned for the album release! :)
Anyway... here's a selection of photos from the night :)
The Bacillus recently played their biggest gig so far at the famous Ruby Lounge - a venue which has a reputation for being the first place to see up and coming talent from all over the globe.
Aided by professional photographer Andrew Ardant we managed to get some pretty awesome stills from the night.
Supporting a well known band by the name of Sennen.
Possibly the most uplifting and up-beat the band have ever played so we are definitely looking forward to their upcoming gig at the Ruby Lounge in June which should promise to be something extra special.
The Bacillus at the Hellfire Club was a prime example of how a band can come together and win over the worst of the worst happening - from the support bands blowing the PA and half of the drum kit being loaned to everybody else from one of the support acts being taken away as a consequence it didn't seem like the gig was actually ever going to be put on.
A last minute arranged performance which was a replacement for a gig at The Hellfire Club which had to be postponed.
